Family Portrait

this is for my entry for the give the gift of art challenge, this is my first time actually joining a contest (i've wanted to join other contests before but i was just too busy) so i dont think im gonna win or even be in the top 50... im just starting out with digital art n this is one of my first few works

i used my wacom creative pen n touch tablet and used photoshop to create this work

my inspiration for this was my family/parents, mostly my mom bcus its gonna be her bday this nov 27└( ° 3 ° )┘so i wanted her to be my inspiration... yeah

im giving this to my mom for her bday n for being there for me through my stuggles n joys n being there to listen to all my stories from when i was a kid telling her about all the imaginary adventures i've had to present times when i tell her about things that happen in school n how frustrating filipino is ( > 3 < ). she was the one (including my dad) who helped me become the little artist i am now ♥. she has been with me through thick n thin n i just want to give thanks to her by showing her how her hard work to help me develop my skills n talents resulted to.

SIDE NOTE: this work reminds me of the time when i was around 3-5 yrs old and i used to L♥VE (n still do)drawing stuff for my mom n dad (siblings n friends too), so yeah this is kinda special to me ~( ^ U ^ )~
